Yesterday (Dec 19) the first trailer for James Gunn's new Superman dropped. Less than 24-hours later, the trailer has amassed 22 million views.
While many people are excited to see this new Superman adaptation, it's important to remember that James Gunn has a history of making sexual 'jokes' about children. And he was fired by Disney in 2018 because of these posts.
Gunn's so-called jokes were so sexually explicit towards children that people started to accuse him of being on Epstein's plan, the Lolita Express. The flight logs do not indicate that he ever travelled with Epstein.
"The first time I masturbated to Justin Bieber it was a joke, but now I can't stop!" Gunn wrote on Twitter in 2010. Not terribly offensive but still interesting for a film director to be posting.
Here are some of the more interesting posts Gunn made (and since deleted) that have left the internet divided:
"I like it when little boys touch me in my silly place. Shhh!"
""Eagle Snatches Kid" is what I call it when I get Lucky"
"The Expendables was so manly I f--ked the shit out of the pussy boy next to me!"
"For the record I am against RAPE and baby eating in real life (unless you're really, really, really hungry)"
"Just made a joke about ass-raping my friend when she was asleep."
"Mary Matthew just told me a story about how a monkey jerked off to completion on a kid on the set of Max Keeble's Big Move."
There are many more that reference children, you can see a whole compilation in the video below.
While these posts could be explained away as simply jokes or one man's twisted sense of humor. In the context of Hollywood, which has rampart issues of paedophilia and sexual abuse, the 'jokes' can easily be interpreted in a different way.
