It's Halloween and you know what that means? The new Joe Rogan interview with Republican VP canddidate, JD Vance, was just released. While most viewers gave positive feedback regarding the 4 hour conversation, not everyone on the right wing was thrilled. The contents of the discourse between the two firebrands left many on the right scratching their heads after JD Vance revealed a strange detail very few knew up until today.
On one hand, JD Vance has proven he is a comnposed and excellent communicator at the VP debates last month. However, some critics on the right aren't completely sold on the idea that Vance was the correct pick for Trump's administration and this interview may have given those naysayers the ammo they were looking for to write him off completely.
Joe Rogan began a section of the interview by explaining his skepticism with the American pharmaceutical industry:
I'm just scared that the tentacles of the pharmaceutical industry are so deeply entrenched in politics and in media that you can't just shake them off. You can't just say, hey, you can't advertise on TV anymore. Or, hey, you no longer have exemption from responsibility from the side effects of certain drugs. Because that whole thing they pulled off with exemption of – pharmaceutical companies being responsible for injuries from vaccines. Injury from the vax was crazy.
That's when JD Vance not only agreed with Joe Rogan's sentiments, but then went on to explain his history with COVID:
And I mean, you know, so I took the vax and, you know, I haven't been boosted or anything, but the moment where I really started to get red pilled on the whole vax thing was the sickest that I've been in the last 15 years by far was when I took the vaccine.
And I've had COVID at this point five times. I was in bed for two days. My heart was racing. I was like, the fact that we're not even allowed to talk about that, even, you know, no like serious injury, but even the fact that we're not even allowed to talk about the fact that I was as sick as I've ever been for two days. And the worst COVID experience I had was like a sinus infection.
While becoming infected with C19 over 5 times seemed a bit out of the ordinary, the real kicker came when Vance casually stated he became red pilled after taking the C19 injection. While not surprising considering many Republicans did in fact take the shot based on either coercion, lack of knowledge, or a combination two or more reasons, the fact that JD Vance wasn't even red pilled during the scamdemic but is somehow qualified to lead the right wing party leaves more questions to be asked than answered.
To his redemption, he went on to discuss the dangers of the shot with Rogan, stating:
And you don't even, you know, everybody that I know, a lot of people I know, they talk about the second shot that they got of the vaccine was really, that made them really really sick well that's a side effect and not a side effect that we even talk about enough in this country. No, it's, and it's also, again, we're talking about companies that have a long history of lying and being forced to pay criminal fines. And then we're giving them this exemption from being responsible for any of the side effects. Yeah. And who do you think those big pharma companies donate to politically?
Some commenters were quick to agree with Vance's experience with the shot with one X user stating:
That was my experience also. Second dose of Moderna made me very sick for 5 days. Stuck in bed for around 2 of them.
Then about a month later they changed the spacing between doses from 4 weeks to 8 because it was happening to a lot of people.
Never getting one again.
However, some on the right including America First show host, Nicholas Fuentes, gawked at the idea that the future VP of the Republican party was vaccinated against C19 when he posted on X:
Other users began posting old social media posts from JD Vance during his anti-Trump days revealing that he has done a 180 in the past 3 years:
While it's totally understandable and acceptable to change your worldview once you realize you were wrong. Many on the right remain skeptical of JD Vance, a freshman Senator from Ohio with ties to Peter Thiel and the military industrial industrial complex, a history of hating MAGA (which he has clarified on air), and now this – someone who was not only vaccinated for C19, but also bought into the hysteria.
