Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is on a mission to make America healthy again. Already in the weeks following his HHS nomination, the FDA has taken steps to ban the red 3 food dye additive found in over 3,000 food products. Major confectionary companies are closely monitoring the situation and seem ready to implement changes should RFK Jr. issue regulations.
And Trump intends to green-light studies researching the connection between vaccines and autism.
Now that real change is on the horizon, Democrats, who have opposed RFK Jr. every step of the way, suddenly care about America's health.
Lifelong politician, Sen. Bernie Sanders, has praised Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s message on food issues, saying in an interview with CBS, "I think what he's saying about the food industry is exactly correct."
Though, the Vermont senator suggested some of Kennedy's views on health issues are "extremely dangerous", mentioning Kennedy's stances on fluoride and vaccines.
Interesting that Bernie Sanders decides now is the time to take on ultra-processed foods. Just in time to co-opt a movement that has real traction.
Sanders recently spoke with Jon Leibowitz about RFK Jr. and on government inefficiency, and suggested Democrats have "been yelling about that for years."
But they really haven't, at every turn, Democrats have blocked efforts to streamline government and in most cases they worked to increase bloat and spending, whether through diversity practices, job schemes, or supporting foreign conflicts.
Democrats have also been in bed with big Pharma for years, an industry that has actively destroyed the health of everyday Americans. From experimental vaccines to the opioid crisis, to medical kickbacks, over prescriptions, the food pyramid – the list goes on. Democrats have accepted their money and publicly promoted their products every step of the way. Health and efficiency are the last two things Democrats care about.
The fact that Bernie Sanders is jumping on the bandwagon shows that these politicians only get busy when they can get some good press. They don't ever intend to make any real changes. Yes, they might try to ban an additive here or there, but they will never attempt to tackle the root cause.
