X Suspends Laura Loomer as The Right-Wing Turns on Elon Musk

Right-wing commentator, Laura Loomer, has been suspended on X, losing her blue checkmark along with others who were critical of the Elon and Vivek's immigration comments.

Here is a breakdown of the immigration debate that has been raging on X for the last 48-hours.

Loomer shared screenshots of her suspension with Owen Shroyer, who posted them on her behalf. According to 𝕏, Loomer violated rules when she posted private information about another user without their permission.

Loomer defended herself in a live space on 𝕏, saying the information she posted about Sriram Krishnan was from a publicly available document. She even redacted any private information from the post, such as Krishnan's address.

Critics of Loomer are suggesting that the verification removal and suspension happened for two reasons. First, she posted 'private' information about another user on 𝕏, and second, she was targeting an individual because of his background. For context, Sriram Krishnan was nominated for an AI policy position and not a position advising on immigration.

According to public documents, Sriram Krishnan, Trump's latest nominee, didn't even vote for Donald Trump and donated to the opposing campaign.

This discovery has thrown more fire on the Hb-1 visa debate and broadened the rift between the tech right and the right wing. The tech right is accused of being liberals and pushing agenda's that don't align with America First. While the right wing (on 𝕏) are being accused of being racist and ignorant regarding technology.

The backlash against the legal immigration proposed by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy has been catastrophic, and this really marks the first time conservatives types have turned on Elon as a united front.

But now some large 𝕏 accounts fear they are being 'shadow-banned' following this public fallout with Elon. Based on the conversation that's happened over the last two days, 𝕏 has adjusted its algorithm to reduce the reach of accounts that have been blocked/muted by other verified accounts. Many people saw this move as a retaliation against accounts that were critical of Indian immigration. One user commented, "Indians have been reporting and doxxing people in masse and getting them removed for the platform for things as simple as not liking indian food."

Another wrote, "You just de-verified top accounts for speaking out against you lmao why are you destroying your platform over this?"

The accounts that have been stripped of their verification checkmark are Laura Loomer, Owen Shroyer, Chief Trumpster, Preston Parra, and all accounts linked with the Conservative organisation.
